1. Starting & Stopping Sessions

Start a Session from a Meeting Alert, Join meeting from your upcoming meeting card on dashboard, or the Start Cluely button from your dashboard. As of Sep 15, 2025 Cluely will no longer persist as a widget on your screen at all times and only show during Sessions. When you start a session to record a meeting or get individual help, you will see the app below with a few key sections. We will walk through all of them in this guide.
Ways to Start Cluely

Cluely Nav Bar

The nav bar contains five key elements:
  • Move Icon (6 dots): Drag to reposition Cluely
  • Cluely Logo: Click to open/close the dashboard
  • Audio Toggle: Turn voice assistance on/off
  • End Session Button: Blue button showing how long your session has been running
  • Close Cluely: X button to close Cluely. This will keep the session running, but hide the live insights card and widget entirely.

Open your desktop app, hover over your profile icon, Settings > Make Invisible. Please see our guides on undetectability to check compatibility with difference conferencing softwares and devices. As of September 2025, Cluely is not invisible for Windows 10, Windows 111 Home, or Apple Devices from before 2020 in Microsoft Teams, Zoom (full screen share), or Google Meet (full screen share). All other devices should have complete invisibility across Google Meet, Zooms, Microsoft Teams (when sharing one window, not full screen share), HackerRank, and more. Cluely will still be visible in Task Bar and in Activity Monitor.
